F.A.Q

At least once a year for the annual vaccination, without forgetting about deworming.

Most vaccinations begin in young dogs and cats from the age of 8 weeks.

Electronic identification (microchip) is required by law and must be implanted in every pet. It is like a permanent subcutaneous "ID." Its placement is important because it secures the ownership of the animal, and in case of loss, the vet can report it to the database where all the contact information of the owner and the pet is recorded, helping in locating it.

Parasites that affect pets are divided into two categories: internal and external parasites. Deworming is essential for both dogs and cats every 3 months for internal parasites. For external parasites, there are many options now, such as sprays, monthly spot-on treatments, pills that last for 1 or 3 months, and collars that last from 4 to 8 months.

Changes in the daily habits of your dog or cat, such as not eating, drinking more or less water, stopping playing and preferring to lie down, and other changes like altered bowel movements or vomiting.

Leishmaniasis, or Kala-azar, is a disease caused by a protozoan parasite and is transmitted by sandfly bites to both animals and humans. There are vaccines against canine Leishmaniasis that significantly help the pet's immune system. This way, if bitten by an infected sandfly, the body can defend itself better with a reduced chance of illness. Additionally, both medicinal and natural antiparasitic treatments repel the sandfly carrying the parasite and significantly help in prevention.

From the age of 2 and above, it is good to have annual preventive blood tests for your pet, and after 7 years, it is recommended twice a year.

The primary reason we recommend neutering female dogs or cats is for the improved well-being of the animal, as it helps prevent diseases of the uterus and ovaries and avoids unwanted pregnancies. For males, neutering helps prevent testicular and prostate diseases, reduces aggression toward other dogs, and decreases marking their territory.
